Berlin Music Week 2014

03.09.2014 – 07.09.2014

Taking place in Berlin, the center of Germany's music scene, Berlin Music Week consists of seminars, receptions, matchmaking and speed meetings among others. A big part of Berlin Music Week is a club festival, which brings a wide variety of bands from all genres and nationalities to the hottest clubs of the coolest city in Europe.

Suvi, Noah Kin and Jaakko Eino Kalevi perform at Berlin Music Week this year.

Jaakko Eino Kalevi

Jaakko Eino Kalevi signed last year a record deal with Domino Records' subisidiary Weird World Records, making him the first Nordic artist to sign with the label. As a solo artist he makes pleasantly psychedelic pop songs full of hints from funk, disco, jazz, dub and new wave. He writes, performs and records them by himself, as can be heard on his first release for Weird World, the Dreamzone EP.

Suvi burst on the scene in 2013 with her sublimely catchy and bittersweet debut ‘Bleeding For Your Love’, which garnered critical acclaim, reaching the Top 10 on the Hype Machine’s Most Popular Chart. Suvi has crafted an atmospheric, orchestral pop sound reminiscent of luminaries such as Peter Gabriel, Bjork and Woodkid. Critical to this process is her ongoing writing and production collaboration with Julius Duhs and Robin Svensk (a.k.a Bangs) whose previous credits include Miike Snow, Nervo and more.
