Above & Beyond received Grammy nomination in the Best Dance Recording category

Paavo Siljamäki’s progressive trance trio Above & Beyond received a Grammy nomination in the category Best Dance Recording with their song ”We're All We Need” ft.  Zoë Johnston. Released by Ultra/Anjunabeats last January, the song is the title track of the group’s fourth studio album. The album debuted at number 12 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the group's highest-charting album.

Formed in 2000 by Paavo Siljamäki, Jono Grant and Tony McGuinness, the trio have released four albums and enjoyed steady success. In addition to producing their own music, they are also the owners of London-based electronic dance music labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, and hosts of a weekly radio show called Group Therapy Radio.  The trio has been consistently ranked among DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs Poll, with positions at #4 in 2008 & 2009, #5 in 2010 & 2011, and this year at #29.

Previous nominations for Finnish artists have been few and far between: UMO Jazz Orchestra were nominated in 1978 in the Best Jazz Instrumental Performance – Big Band category, recording of Einojuhani Rautavaara’s works in 2012 and Minnesota Orchestra led by Osmo Vänskä in the Best Orchestral Performance category.
