Four Finnish acts to play Eurosonic 2015
Four Finnish acts will take over the stages of Groeningen’s Eurosonic in one month. Finland’s line-up consists of dreamy indie act NEØV, pop rock band Softengine, indie artist The Hearing and rock/punk band The Scenes.
NEØV
This band's hometown Kuopio is a city surrounded by lakes, with several parts of the town built on small islands, and the influence of their surroundings can be heard in NEØV's music. It's expansive but quiet, grandiose but intimate, and they have a talent for combining ethereal, dreamlike melodies with pop sensibilities, like the more accessible moments on tunes such as Sigur Rós' Gobbledigook. The band's second album will be released in February 2015.

Softengine
You might know this alternative rock band from the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, where they represented Finland. Even though they didn't win with their song Something Better, it definitely stirred up interest in both the Finnish and international media. It has become one of the most played songs on Finnish radio and the band consequently signed a recording contract with Sony Music Finland. And now, Softengine is ready to take over Europe!
