Käärijä and Tuuletar show Osaka 2025 how to “Party like a Finn"
In June, Finland will present shows by Käärijä (pictured) and Tuuletar at the Nordic Pavilion at Osaka 2025 World Expo. The Nordic Pavilion is a joint project between the Nordic countries Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Music Finland is a partner of the Finland Day music program.
Finland is set to shine at Expo 2025 Osaka with special Finland Day celebrations on June 12, 2025. The day will include the official ceremony, as well as world-famous Finnish symbols such as Santa Claus, Moomin and sauna. The day will end with “Party like a Finn – Rock & Fashion” evening party with performances by Käärijä and Tuuletar.
The theme of Finland Day is "Happiness Day of Finland", offering visitors of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to experience the elements of Finnish happiness.
President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb, will join the Expo 2025 in Osaka, along with a delegation of Finnish parliament members and business leaders. President Stubb will open the Finland’s National Day. In the evening event, Finnish lifestyle and fashion industry take the stage along with the artist performances.
The vocal quartet Tuuletar is known for vocal performance with fierce energy, beatbox rhythms and other worldly harmonies, and Käärijä is best known for winning the audience vote by a wide margin in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. This will be Käärijä’s first show in Japan, while Tuuletar has performed in the country previously in 2016 and 2018.
Nordic Pavilion estimates that about 1,7 million guests will enjoy the joint Nordic exhibition during the opening time of Expo. Music Finland is an official partner of the Finland Day music program.
