Taking place in Bremen, Germany 23-26 April, the annual jazzahead! conference, showcase and trade fair is now celebrating its 10th anniversary. The event has grown to be the most important gathering of the field. Not only European jazz scene attends jazzahead!, since more and more professionals come from overseas.
This year, Music Finland organises a seminar and panel discussion, addressing the future scenarios and new approaches to jazz events and festivals, artists’ own networks and other topics appealing to the whole international jazz field. This seminar, titled ”FUTURE JAZZ VISIONS - Aus Finnland to Europe and back” features five renowned speakers: Christine Stephan, editor-in-chief at JAZZTHETIK Magazine who also moderates the discussion; Iiro Rantala, pianist, composer; Dieter Ilg, bassist, agent; Matti Nives, jazzahead! jury member, We Jazz, and Nadin Deventer, JazzFest Berlin, Europe Jazz Network. The seminar takes place on Friday 24 April at 1-2 PM and is part of the official Jazzahead! seminar programme. It is a cooperation between Music Finland and Jazzthetik Magazine.
