Santa Cruz appears on Mercedes-Benz’s holiday campaign
Hard rock band Santa Cruz appears on the new television campaign for Mercedes-Benz. The commercial shot in Kittilä, Finland, will be broadcasted worldwide thoughout this holiday season.
The advertisement features Santa Cruz performing their track ”Bonafied Heroes” in a blanket of snow. The song, taken from the band’s eponymous second album is dubbed with newly recorded vocals from the classic Christmas carol ”Silent Night” for the commercial.
The promotional film was directed by German filmmaker Aleksander Bach, whose movie debut Hitman: Agent 47 premiered earlier this year.
This is already the second big commercial deal for Santa Cruz this year: In February the band announced a deal with cable TV channel ESPN.
In 2015 Santa Cruz has toured all round the world, including a North American tour, Motörboat cruise (with Motörhead), Nordic tour and a German tour. For these tours, they have received showcase support, tour support and Aus Finnland support through Music Finland.
In March 2016 Santa Cruz will be touring in the UK, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, Holland and Denmark. In February 2016 they will appear on Breaking Band, a show on the lifestyle-oriented cable network AXS TV.
