See Finnish jazz acts play live this Autumn
During September–November, Finnish jazz combos and solo acts play various festivals and tours around the globe.
September
Trombonist and Conductor Antti Rissanen conducts George Garanian Big Band at Tsar Jazz festival during 17.–21. September. The festival is held in Sochi, Russia and the orchestra soloists are LaGaylia Frazier (USA) and Michael Mwenso (USA).
As a part of Play Nordic series, NYConnection will perform at Nordische Botschaften in Berlin on September 25.

Verneri Pohjola Quartet are scheduled to play at Jazz Brugge Festival on October 3.
M.A. Numminen performs with Jani Uhlenius at the Frankfurt Book Fair on October 8 and 9.
Mikko Innanen & Inkvisitio gets reinforcement from Lithuanian saxophonist Liudas Mockunas and brings its retro-futuristic jazz to the Vilnius Jazz Festival on October 17th.
On October 24 Dalindèo will take over Folkets Hus at Umeå Jazz Festival.
Pekka Pylkkänen-Mike del Ferro Quartet tour
Pekka Pylkkänen-Mike del Ferro Quartet will be touring in Japan in October. The group will play 9-10 concerts around Japan. Pekka Pylkkänen has also been invited to perform in Havana, Cuba, at the Festival Internacional Jazz Plaza in December, 2014. More details about the festival will be announced later.

The End of the Beginning Quartet tour
The End of the Beginning Quartet is the new group consisting of Juhani Aaltonen (tenor sax), Iro Haarla (piano), Jonas Westergaard (contrabass) and Kresten Osgood (drums). The group was founded when Haarla and Aaltonen were invited to perform at Copenhagen Jazz Festival in 2013. The End of the Beginning Quartet will also record an album at the end of the year.
