Tuomo Tähtinen, Executive Director of Music Finland, will leave his post in the association in March 2018. Tähtinen will start in his new position as Managing Director of Fullsteam Agency on March 5, 2018. Fullsteam Agency is a part of Germany-based FKP Scorpio.

Tuomo Tähtinen has a ten-year career in music export. He has been working as Executive Director of Music Finland since 2012, when Fimic (Finnish Music Information Centre) and Musex (Music Export Finland) were merged together as Music Finland. Before that, Tähtinen worked as Project Manager for Music Export Finland in 2008–2012.

Under Tuomo Tähtinen’s leadership, Music Finland carried out the successful Aus Finnland project in German-speaking Europe during 2015-2016. His further accomplishments include consolidating the Finnish music field through music exports. During his career Music Finland has twice been ranked in the list of best workplaces in Finland. In addition, Tähtinen has been nominated twice as the Organizational Leader of the Year at the Music & Media Industry Awards gala.

I’d like to thank all the boards, partners and of course the amazing colleagues I’ve had a privilege to work with throughout these years”, Tuomo Tähtinen says.

The recruitment process of Tuomo’s successor has already begun and a public search will open in the next few days. Tuomo Tähtinen will continue his duties as Executive Director of Music Finland until the beginning of March 2018. Music Finland’s new executive director will be reported when the recruitment process has been completed.
