Helsinki Chamber Choir
The Helsinki Chamber Choir was founded in 1962 as the Finnish Radio Chamber Choir. It assumed its current name in May 2005. The Helsinki Chamber Choir’s wide-ranging repertoire includes medieval chant as well as music from the Renaissance and Baroque up to the present day. The choir regularly commissions new works, mostly from Finnish composers, and has given almost 40 world premieres in the seasons since 2005. Alongside its own concert series in Helsinki, the choir appears frequently at Finnish music festivals and collaborates regularly with Finnish symphony orchestras.
