A 10-inch vinyl featuring six promising Finnish acts, curated by the media partners, will be released on April 18 as a part of Record Store Day in Germany. 2000 copies of the official Record Store Day release Music Finland x Noisey x Musikexpress x ByteFM – The Limited Record Store Day Edition 2015 will be given out for free to customers at all participating stores. A select amount will also be circulated in Austria and Switzerland.

 Leading up to the release, Music Finland previews the sounds on the vinyl through a short film, made in Helsinki, featuring German dancer-choreographer Nikeata Thompson – a public figure in the German cultural and entertainment landscape and judge on the German ”Got To Dance”, among other TV shows and appearances. The collaboration is phenomenal; never before have Finnish music and clothing design joined forces with German dance art in this way!

The vinyl compilation features the following Finnish acts: Hisser (Fullsteam Records/Sony Music Finland), The Hearing (GAEA Records), Redder (Cocoa Music), Oceans (Soliti), Femme en Fourrure (Cocoa Music) and Death Hawks (GAEA Records). In the video, Nikeata is wearing clothing by Minna Parikka, Minna Hepburn, Fiona Timantti, Samuji, UNEINS and gTie.
