Producer Lizzip emerged in the EDM scene in the beginning of the decade, with his pumping beats and catchy pop melodies. The decidedly mysterious (no promo pics!) artist's debut single “Don’t Worry” was released in 2020 independently, and has since been followed by nearly two dozen more, on different labels and with collaborators such as Bastl and Doxic.

Zarg

ZARG started making music with a FL Studio Mobile as a 16-year-old. Later he got his hands on an actual copy of FL Studio 20 and started making trap and hip hop beats, posting them on YouTube. Next stop was to release lo-fi/chill beats on Spotify, from which he moved on after two albums and over 30 singles. Now Zarg makes electronic music with a wide palette: house, UK garage and much more – you can't really tell what his next track will sound like. ZARG is equally inspired by Finnish rock, grunge and old school rap as he is by Daft Punk, indie and house music.

Samlight

DJ-Producer Samlight is known for his powerful house music with melodic hooks. Samlight is now releasing new tunes on Spinnin' Talent Pool after being signed to the world famous dance music label Spinnin' Records in early 2018. At the start of 2024, Samlight's extremely prolific release history consists of around sixty singles.

Perttu

Originally from the island of Suomenlinna and nowadays living in Berlin, the producer and DJ Perttu started as a drummer and played in different rock and metal bands. During the past years Perttu has made his career in electronic music and has been signed to Universal Music Germany. Perttu also works with many known artists like Bonnie Strange and Lxandra.

Shepherd's Call

Comprised of two figures of the Helsinki-based Below0 label, Inter Alia and Niko Demus, electronic duo Shepherd's Call sounds simultaneously calm in their sounds and hectic in their pace. Drawing influences from ambient, trance, hyperpop and indie rock, the duo released their first singles "Skin & Bones" and "Decay" between late 2023 and early 2024. Both songs are also included in Shepherd's Call's debut album, the 30-minute full-length "Morning Star", released in January 2024.

1$K1

Finland-based phonk hiphop producer 1$K1 started making waves around 2023 by uploading tracks like "Acelera", "Kuuma" and "Quema" into streaming platforms. As typical for the genre, 1$K1's short and sweet tracks include sped-up and pitched vocal samples, heavy bass and distorted drum sounds, making for an eerie and menacing soundscape. Less than a year from his debut, 1$K1 has releases out on labels such as Aurorian Records, Jadu Dala, NCS, and Street Phonk.

Kasperg is the alias of producer, musician and DJ Kasper Granroth, currently based in Berlin. He describes his music as "dreamy but rhythmic" and "incorporating elements of hip-hop and blends of RnB". Kasperg is also known from wide-ranging DJ and live sets and his own label Lost Favourite Records.

Rony Rex

Producer Rony Rex has years of experience as a club DJ, playing both local and international venues, as well as hosting his own radio shows. In 2017 Rony Rex started releasing his own energetic and dancefloor-ready tunes on the Youth Control label. Rony Rex has been coming up with at least a good handful of single releases every year since 2017, with other releases including the EP Fucked It Up (2017) as well as his debut album "10", which came out in 2023.

Henri

Henri is the solo alias for successful music producer and songwriter Henri "Hank Solo" Salonen. In his bio, Henri says that the solo project was born, when he "got burnt out by all the pressure the world and I were laying on myself and then one day decided to quit my job". He explains that he "hit reset and moved to our family cabin in the middle of nowhere during the summer" and started making his solo songs, where he channels "his imperfections, all the madness and the sadness". Henri's first album release "Rakkaus", echoing the emotive deep house music of Fred Again.. and Four Tet, was released in June 2023 and followed by the EP "Valo" six months later.

Yotto

Yotto has already made his debut on the BBC’s iconic Essential Mix, to add to his 5 ‘Essential New Tune’ nods from Pete Tong, and 2 ‘Hottest Record In the World’ selections on Annie Mac’s show. His multifarious remix list includes Gorillaz, Röyksopp and Coldplay. Yotto's debut album "Hyperfall" was released on Anjunabeats label in 2018 and in 2019 he founded his own label, Odd One Out. Yotto's sophomore album release "Growth" saw the light of day in 2023.

Jaakko Eino Kalevi

In 2013 Finland's lo-fi indie pop singer-songwriter-musician-producer (and former tram driver) Jaakko Eino Kalevi became the first ever Nordic act signed to Domino Records. Two years after his eponymous Domino/Weird World debut (2015) he put out "Orbit Variations" with his friend Long-Sam as the band MAN DUO. "Out Of Touch" was released in 2018 and a new EP, "Dissolution" followed in November 2019. Jaakko Eino Kalevi returned in 2023 with the double-full-length "Chaos Magic".

Young, up-and-coming electronic music producer Vilzzu emerged into the edm scene in 2024 with his lush, melodic tracks. Channelling genres such as lo-fi, chillwave, trance and pop house, Vilzzu's style is all over the map, but mainly in a good way.

DJ FKU

One of the leading names in Brazilian phonk music, DJ FKU (also known as Skorde) rose to streaming fame with the song "MTG - PISTA TOMA", a collaboration with RXDXVIL released in 2023. With his unique blend of phonk and funk, DJ FKU has gained massive amounts of plays on Spotify – being the biggest Finnish streamer with over 9 million monthly listeners in 2024 – and TikTok. The anonymous (no pictures available), young and prolific artist releases new music weekly with his countless aliases, with DJ FKU being the most prominent.

Lumi

Electronic music producer and dj Lumi got a flying start for her career in 2024. Already before her debut release, “Look The Other Way” released on Octopus Records in early 2024, Lumi had performed alongside dj's like Pan-Pot, Marie Vaunt, Korolova, Tiga, Teenage Mutants, and Will Clarke. The single charted at #3 on Beatport’s Indie Dance charts and garnered impressive stream numbers, making it to over a dozen editorial playlists. She has also been featured in outlets like DJ Mag UK, LA Weekly, and Techno Germany.

Robbe

One of the most popular EDM producers and dj’s from Finland, Robbe (Robin Björkskog) entered the EDM scene in 2019, still in his teens, and has since produced several million-streaming songs and remixes in the slap bass genre, with hints of bounce and psy-trance thrown in. Robbe’s tracks are typically covers and remixes of classic hits by artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, P!nk and Haddaway, ranging from the 90’s to today. The extremely prolific producer has released well over 120 singles over the span of five years. He has been supported by artists such as Marshmello, Alesso, R3HAB and INNA and worked with the labels Sony, Warner, Spinnin' and Kontor Records.

Otto Taimela

Electronic producer and composer Otto Taimela does not like categorisations for his music, but we'll try anyway: to say the most obvious, his music combines elements of ambient, house, drum and bass, trance and downtempo. Taimela started putting his music out to the world around 2018, and according to Discogs now has seven albums out already, out of which four are cassette releases and two on vinyl. As well as several ep's on streaming services!

Lasse

Lasse (Lasse Perkkiö), a Finnsih producer based in Amsterdam, first gained fame under the Laz Perkins alias, and even signed with Universal Music Finland in 2017. Abandoning the clubby edm sound of his Laz Perkins-era music, Perkkiö started sliding towards a more melodic and emotional house sound with his 2024 releases as Lasse. Recalling the likes of Bicep and George FitzGerald, Lasse's recent tracks on Lost Favorite label utilize choppy and trembling trance synths, light breakbeats and heavily reverberated vocal samples.

Stereo Terror

Stereo Terror, the duo of Henry ”Hulk” Uhlgren and Saku Solin (from famed industrial rockers Turmion Kätilöt), started throwing parties already in 2016. But it was not until 2022 that Stereo Terror became a real band (of sorts), and started releasing their own music. With vocalists like Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast) in the mix and the likes of Proteus, Milla Lehto and Janji providing remixes, Stereo Terror are surely going places. Incorporating equal amounts of disco and metal in their dj sets, Stereo Terror is promised to "make the show happen".

Marko Nyberg

Marko Nyberg (also known as the founder of Husky Rescue) draws inspiration from his real-life experiences and further from the art of Hilma af Klint. Nyberg’s music combines neoclassical with techno joined by the sounds of live string ensemble. In early 2022 Nyberg released his solo debut "Ingrid EP". The follow-up, a 9-song album named "Solveig", (out April 2024) is an intense mix of mainly instrumental neoclassical, ambient and techno, with singer Ringa Manner (Ruusut, The Hearing) guesting on two songs.

Less Gravity

Less Gravity (also known by his other musical alter ego Kooma) is a lofi producer who creates beats with calm and chill vibes and a pinch of humour. After a lengthy string of singles in 2028, he released his debut album "Channel Surfing" in 2019. By 2024, the album has already been followed by five more as well as around 150 singles – with his own version of the famous "The Force Theme" from the movie Star Wars among them!

Ferus Melek

Synthwave artist Ferus Melek’s musical journey traces back to his childhood, where a deep admiration for computer game music took root. Influenced by game music composers like Martin Galway, Rob Hubbard, and Ben Daglish, he found inspiration in their rich and melodic compositions, despite the limitations of the technology they worked with. This early fascination with synthetic sound sparked Ferus Melek’s passion for electronic music, which is now apparent in his current work. His sound, upbeat and energetic, blends melodic synthwave with a hint of trance influences.

Kuokka

Producer and dj Kuokka started releasing music in 2021 and has already gained millions of streams with his circa 40 single releases on labels such as Bounce & Bass, Future House Cloud and Ninetone. Many of Kuokka’s most popular songs are energetic EDM covers of beloved hits by artists like Britney Spears, Madonna, Marshmello and Calvin Harris – and his own compositions also rely heavily on vocal hooks, smooth house beats and atmospheric synth pads.

Lawrence Walther

Lawrence Walther a.k.a. Lauri Miettunen describes himself as "a cozy guitarist/composer from Finland", which suits his sound and style just perfectly. Walther made his entry in the lofi beats scene in 2020, and has quickly amassed a discography of about 100 singles and three albums. In 2023 he teamed up with Recalibration Machine and Less Gravity for the collaborative album "Dune Days". His songs are amiable and calming, with bright and vivid guitar melodies taking the center stage.

Sekret Teknik

Founded in 2013 by two punk rockers, Sekret Teknik's synth based music combines the dark cyberpunk sound of the 80s with modern synthwave, post-punk, disco and EBM. The result has been described as "a dystopic soundtrack from an imaginary past", while Sekret Teknik themselves calls their music "post-nuclear war synthesizer music". The synth duo has established its position in electric music circles as an extremely tight live band, with themes such as sci-fi, computer games, ’80s horror, and fake satanism dominating their lyrics and visuals.

Noana

Producer and DJ Noana, born and based in Helsinki, loves movement and big open spaces. As one third of the group Leu Leu Land he has had releases on Sony Music, Anjunabeats and remix duties for the likes of Giorgio Moroder. Noana debuted his solo project in 2023 through the independent dance imprint Youth Control, a nu-disco, synthwave and house label based in Finland. On Noana's genre-bending and vocal-based tracks, you can hear a big, melodic mix of trance and emotive house music and even traces of indie pop and downtempo.

Misha

Misha is a rapper, beatmaker and an electronic music producer whose musical background is strongly in melodic soul-based hip-hop. Misha was born in Moscow, Russia, but moved to his current home town Helsinki as a child. He first found success rapping in Finnish under the artist name Haamu, releasing his rap debut in 2006, but soon started producing beats. Misha has released tracks on labels such as Chillhop, Sundae Sauce and Melting Pot.

EDM producer and dj Nino Rivera hails from the city of Turku and has released a string of singles, recently on his own label Dancifyze, since 2018. His sound is hooky, and often relies on trance-y beats and arpeggios, poppy vocal melodies and hyperpop-infused sample treatments.

Independent music label and artist collective Starmode operates from Helsinki and is founded producer Tarmo. According to the label's Soundcloud, they are "on a mission to release cutting edge club music for the world to hear" – and that their releases have been played by dj's such as Stonebridge, Don Diablo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Above & Beyond and Judge Jules, among others.
